Avira AntiVir Rescue CD
The only way to clean a heavily infected machine, or eradicate Rootkit is to reboot the PC and not from its hard disks, but since a CD disinfection.
We have already had occasion to consider such a CD cleaning with KAV Rescue. But this offer is very effective also fairly technical and complex to implement for those who know nothing about burning ISO image.
The Avira Rescue CD has the advantage of integrating their own burning routine, which avoids many prior manipulations.
Based on a Linux and a lighter version of the special scan Avira AntiVir, the solution Avira AntiVir Rescue CD allows you to restart your PC to a CD cleaning self-bootable. Follow step by step the steps below to create the CD and restart the machine.
- Download the software and place it on the desktop.

- Insert a blank CD into your burner.
- Select the drive in the pop-up menu and then click Burn CD.
- Once created the CD, restart your PC leaving the CD in the drive.
- The PC will then start on the CD and displays a splash screen IsoLinux.Type "1" and confirm with [Enter].
- The loading took several minutes (a good fifteen minutes, actually), be patient.
- After loading, click the English flag at the bottom of the window.
- Click Configure.
- Check "Scan all files", "Try to repair infectedfiles", "Rename files..." and 4 cases "Scan for..."
- Then click Virus Scanner.
- Click Start scanner to start the analysis.
- The software scans all your drives immediately in search of threats it will eliminate as of detection.
- Once the scan is complete, click on Miscellaneous and then click Shutdown.
