    Task manager no longer appears

    Here are safe handling:

    • It is recommended that you back up the registry.
    • Open Notepad (Start> All Programs> Accessories> Notepad)
    • Copy and paste the text that lies between the two spaces below:

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
      [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT \ CurrentVersion \ Image File Execution Options \ taskmgr.exe]
    • Save this file in: Office
    • Filename: fix.reg
    • Type: All Files!
    • Click Save.
    • Quit Notepad.

Re: Task manager no longer appears

Sometimes the task manager no longer appears (because of an infection often) and does not display a message "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" either with Ctrl + Alt + Delete or through Start Menu> Run> type taskmgr then validate.
    Use File: fix.reg:
Double-click the file (Office) / Accept the warning about the merger / Do not be surprised not to see / Validate the message that the merger is completed.

Normally, the task manager can be opened again.
