Create an Administrator Command Prompt shortcut

However, some programs to run properly, they need these rights. The command prompt must often be run with Administrator privileges.

If you often use the command prompt, here's how to give administrator rights once and for all.

    • Create a shortcut pointing to the command prompt on your desktop.

    • Right-click the shortcut and choose Properties.

    • You must return directly to the Shortcut tab of the Properties window.

    • Click the Advanced button.

    • Check the box Run as Administrator and click OK to save the change.

You can also try the following few steps:
    • Right-click an open area of the desktop, click "New" and then click "Shortcut".
    • In the field labelled "Type the location of the item", enter "C:/Windows/System32/cmd.exe" (without quotes).
    • Click "Next" and give the shortcut a suitable name such as "Command Prompt".
    • Click "Finish". A new "Command Prompt" shortcut should now be available on the Windows desktop.
