How to Enable or Disable the Windows 7 Built-in Administrator Account

Hi friends,

I know that many people would don't know how to enable/disable built-in administrator account in Windows 7.But don't worry i have got a very simple solution, for that you need to follow the below steps:-

1. Click on Start Menu.
   
2. In the Search box, type lusrmgr.msc and press Enter.
   
3. In the left pane, click on the Users folder.
   
4. Now Right click on Administrator in the Middle Panel and click on Properties.
   
5. To Enable the Buit-in Administrator Account
   
   
   • Uncheck the Account is disabled box.
   • Go to step 7.
   
   
6. To Disable the Buit-in Administrator Account
   
   
   • Check the Account is disabled box.
   
   
7. Click on OK.
   
8. Close the Local Users and Groups window.
   
9. Now Log off, for changes to get affected.

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Ghz
G31 Asrock Motherboard with Intel chipset
2gb RAM
256 Nvidia Graphic Card
500gb HDD

There is one more way of enable/disable built-in Administrator in Windows 7 through Command Prompt following are the steps for the same.

1. First open a command prompt.
   
2. To Enable the Hidden Built-In Administrator Account
   
   
   • In the command prompt, type [B]net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter.
     
   • Then go to step 4.
   
   
3. To Disable the Hidden Built-In Administrator Account
   
   
   • In the command prompt, type net user administrator /active:no and press Enter.
   
   
4. Now close the Command Prompt.
   
5. Finally Log off,for the changes to get affected.
