Saving PDF files from Office 2007

Ever wanted to create PDF files but don’t have a PDF writer application installed in your system? You can save a document as PDF from all of the Office 2007 applications. There are many times when people are installing utilities such as Primo PDF for converting their office documents to PDF.

Microsoft has released a free Office 2007 Add-In named "Save as PDF or XPS Add-In" that allows you save files in PDF or XPS format from Office 2007 applications. With this Add-in you can see a option of save as PDF in your save as menu...

This download works with the following Office programs:

    1. Access 2007
    2. Excel 2007
    3. InfoPath 2007
    4. OneNote 2007
    5. PowerPoint 2007
    6. Publisher 2007
    7. Visio 2007
    8. Word 2007

Now simply go ahead and save any office document as a PDF file. I do this all the time and the results are usually very good.

Well, I have had this feature on from the start, knew about it, but hardly use it. That’s because I normally use Cute-PDF, a free pdf printer already installed on my PC. As you know, this printer lets you convert to pdf from any application, be it office or even paint or SAP - as you long as you can print, you can pdf… so even if you dont have office 2007, you are not dependent on upgrading yet..

It's looking as if the PDF export may not make it to the final version of Office 2007 anyway - Adobe aren't happy about it and at present it has been dropped. The current plan is for PDF export to be a free add-on, but Adobe don't like that either.

When you save PDF files and choose Options, is it anyway possible to get "include non-printing information" to be off by default?

    Maybe by tweaking the registry?

I dont think you can make it disappear either by registry or any other way out coz it is a important option while save or print PDF from office application. BTW, what is the disadvantage of that option if it is appearing there ? I dont think there is ant need to change registry for such a small things.
