How to use Camera in HTC One X

Basic things in Camera

If you want to click a picture quickly on your HTC One X even when your phone is locked you just need to launch your camera and it can be ready to use. Don’t worry even if it has a password lock screen. As it is really very simple you just have to click your power button and after that just drag your camera icon in the ring and it will start your camera. And if you don’t want to start that way you can always go the menu and start the camera from there also. And if you would like to use some functions like you need to add effects or if you need to Zoon in or zoom out you can always use the controls on the Viewfinder screen.
NOTE: if by any chance while using the camera if you have left your camera on and you not using your phone your phone will automatically get locked so if you need to use the camera after that you will have to unlock your phone to click pictures.

About Zooming

Now when you want to zoom in or zoom out in your camera while taking a pictures or a video you just have to slide your figure on the zoom bar on your phone screen. As if you shot a video then by default the zoom bar would be seen on your screen. So because of this you can easily zoom in and zoom out as you require.

How to use secondary camera (front camera)

If you want to switch or use the front camera you just have to click on the gear icon on your screen after doing that just click on camera now you will find two options front and main. Here you can select front camera if you would like to use the front camera or select main camera if you would like to use the back camera.
Note: When you are using the front camera you won’t be getting all the features which are available in the main camera just like face detection or zoom features, etc.

How to choose an effect

You can easily use the effects in your camera which are available so that by using that you can make/click some amazing pictures and also you can use the effects while you are taking a video for that you just need to go to a blue color icon in there just check all the effects and select which effect you would like to use and enjoy the effects.

How to do resolution setting

For dong any kind of setting about the resolution you would have to click on the gear icon on your screen as after click that you will see different resolutions for both images and videos select the one which you would like to use.

How to choose flash mode

If you would like to choose the flash mode you just have to click on flash icon and choose a flash mode. Let me tell you if you use the auto flash mode the camera would automatically adjust the brightness required at that moment and click the appropriate picture or a video.

How to take a picture

Clicking a picture is a very simple process for that you just have to open your Camera as mentioned above. Now you just need to point the camera towards the thing which you would like to capture a photo. As soon as you do this the camera will automatically adjust the focus and it would just refocus if you keep moving your camera. Now if you are ready just click the shutter icon and it would click a photo.

How to do video recording

If you would like to capture a video you would have to open the camera and on your screen you will see the video recording icon just click on it and your recording will be started. Now you can do when things while the recording is on like you can zoom in and zoom out and time you require, you can also change the focus from one place or person to other by just tapping on the screen, not only this much you can also on the flash if you feel that there is not sufficient light and if there is more light you can always turn off the flash. Now if you need to stop the recording you just have to click on the stop red color icon on your screen which will stop the recording.

Now there is one more good features which HTC have included in this phone is that you can capture a photo also while you are recoding a video for that you just have to click on the shutter icon on the screen while recording a video and it will capture a photo.

Now if you want to click some photo continuous, like for example a moving person you can capture the photos also while that person is moving for that you just have to be in an auto scene feature in your mobile. For this feature you just have to press and hold the shutter icon if you do this it can take up to 20 photos. But if you want to take more than 20 photos continuous you just have to go to the gear icon (which is a setting button) there you will find an option about limit up to 20 photos just remove that and then you can enjoy as many photos you want to take. Now as you have click so many photos at a time you will see all the photos and to save those photo you just have to select all the photos which you think are the best and save it. And the remaining photo you can delete them.

About Camera Scenes

The Scenes option is a very good option as if you select this option it will remove the basic setting in your phone and automatically adjust the setting according to the environment and the light. So you just have to select auto and it will automatically establish optimal settings, or in simple words it will adjust all the setting as per the requirements before you start clicking any photos.

Tips to improve portrait shots

This is one better feature of this phone as by using this you can get the best photos. By using this feature you can get smooth skin in the photos. To use this feature you just have to click on the “A” icon on your screen after click that select Portrait and now you are ready to click best photos.

Group Portrait

Now if you are clicking a group photo it is really very difficult to ask everyone to see toward the camera and smile that too at the same time. But if you are using HTC One X you can get wonderful group portraits with many smiles and very less blinks. Now to ON this feature you have to click on “A” icon and you will find a group Portrait option just click on that and you are ready to use this feature. When you click a photo with this features it would click around 5-6 photos at a time and then merge all the photos and create a single photo where you will find all the face are smiling and everyone are looking at the camera.

How to take a panoramic Photo

This is also a great feature in HTC One X by using this you can take any wide or tall things in one photo. For using this you have to click on “A” icon there you will see Panorama option select that option. And yes if you use this feature it will off your zooming and flash option. Now after you have selected this and ready to click a photo just click the shutter icon and it will show you arrows on your screen if you are using your photo in portrait view then the arrows will be showing up and down option and if ou are holding you phone in landscape position it will show left and right arrows. Now when you adjust this you will be shown a guide on your screen by using that you will have to frame the first portion on your screen to click a photo. Now just move your phone smoothly and it will automatically take 5 photos. Now you have to stop this by clicking on the option showing a circle with a cross in it. As soon as you click that the camera will automatically merge all 5 photos and make it in a single photo.

Using HDR in HTC One X

When clicking in portrait beside a bright background, you need to use HDR to click your photo visibly. HDR gives the information on both highlights and shadows, even in high contrast lighting.

Now to use this you have to select “A” on your screen and then select HDR. Now just click a photo by clicking on shutter icon. The camera takes three photos at different contact levels and merges them into one single photo.

Take photos in low lights.

For clicking a good photo in low light you have to select “A” on your screen there you will find an option of low light select that just note if you select this the flash will be automatically be disable. Now you can click a photo. Just note if you need a good photo do not shake your hand and keep it steady. After taking a photo you can improve the photo by adding good effects like auto enhance and high contrast.

How to capture a video in slow motion

Remember high speed action spot by spot and add a feel of anticipation to your videos. For this you have to select “A” on your screen and you will find a Slow motion video option just select that and you are ready to capture a good video by clicking an option which has an icon of video with a slow man shown on it and start recording.

How to improve video stability

Decreases tremble and blurs in your video, particularly when you're following a moving object. For doing this you have to select the gear icon on your screen and in that you will find a Video option in that you will find Video Stabilization selected that can then take a photo.

Change setting in video and camera

For this you have to select the gear option on your screen and even for changing your normal camera and video setting you also can do some things like you can change the duration of the review photo or a video you want to see after it is clicked. If you want to take a photo of any person only when he/she is smiling you can do that also. You can also Geo-tag a photo to store it in GPS location. You can even upload all the photos which you have clicked on any social networking site. For that you can also set the frequency how often you want to upload the photos which you have clicked, you can just select the album which you want to upload and they you can also set the privacy setting.
