    Slow Down Vista’s Animated Windows

If any one dint liked the Animated windows speed in vista can slow down the animation. you can change a certain registry key and it will allow you to slow down the animation of windows (on minimize/maximize/close for instance) by holding down the SHIFT key while performing an action. To do so follow this steps:-

    • Click the Start Orb and type Regedit in the search box.

    • Click Regedit.exe at the top of the search results under programs.

    • If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Continue.

    • Navigate to the following key.HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsDWM

    • Click on an empty space in the right hand pane and choose New DWORD (32-bit) Value.

    • Give the new DWORD a name of AnimationsShiftKey

    • Double click the AnimationsShiftKey value and give it a value of 1. Then click Ok.

    • Close the Registry editor an logoff then log back on for the changes to take effect.

Now just hold down the shift key when clicking a flip 3D window or opening or closing a window from the task bar.Thats it !!

But i think this tip has been kicking around since Windows Vista Beta 1 and I guess that it works on the RTM build (6000.16386).
