    sad help! opening files into notepad cant understand

    while downloading files, they all open in notepad. the font is all in block symbols. I have tried right clicking to open with a different program. I have tried wordpad but the same block symbols pop up, and if i use the internet explorer it will pop up notpad. please help with any thing new the manuals are all over the internet and i cant access them.

    It looks like all files are opening in notepad. You need the right applications to open the different types of files.

    When you download something from a browser, make sure you open with the correct application, for example a PDF file should be opened with PDF reader (ex: adobe reader, foxit reader,....).

    If you want to change the behaviour in Firefox (if you are using firefox), Go to the options and for each file extension type, select the right application to open or the ask option (so that you can choose).

    am not sure, if there is another easier option.
