Today, a very simple trick, but it is always interesting to master: how to enable, disable or update Genius, selector intelligent iTunes 8.
Activate Genius
If you have not activated, but still, you want to test it, it is certainly not too late! Indeed, it is always possible to do so simply by clicking the Store menu and then click Enable Genius.
Warning! It will be necessary to enter information about your application. If you do not, you can do it via iTunes, but then you have to have either a prepaid card or your credit card number.
Attention This activation will take time, especially if you have a large number of songs in your library. However, you can use iTunes normally during the procedure. Note finally that Genius collects information about your library. Apple certifies that they are anonymous, you see what you give credibility to their words.
Update Genius
Genius is always a novelty, the feature is not available for some pieces. If for some it will probably be final, for others, just wait until there is enough information about this song. You can update Genius in order to verify if it is not just been activated. To do this same process: you click the Store menu, and then this time Refresh Genius.
Disable Genius
For various reasons (it does not work, it's useless, I want not send my information to Apple, I was curious but iTunes is not ...), you want to disable Genius. To do this, always the same thing: you click the Store menu, and then click Disable Genius (which is where Enable Genius appeared).
No information will be sent to Apple. However, you can obviously enjoy more of the selector "intelligent."
