3 Software to Keep Update Your Windows Programs

Most Users who prefer Linux as their ideal operating system will agree to me that “apt-get” is one of the better things to happen in Linux operating system. For people who have a dual boot operating system and really miss the apt-get functionality on Windows operating system, for those users, here are some ways to have that functionality in Windows operating system. The below provided are three good software which updates programs for Windows operating system users; thus no need to seperately update each program one by one.

For users who are not knowing with apt-get, it is generally a tool which allows you to download and install (or upgrade) software from a specified location in a single procedure. You are not required to go to the official download location, save the file on your computer and then click on it to install the required update. All this usually happens in the background with the help of a database of all available applications and with their available latest versions.

    • InstallPad 0.3

InstallPad takes a list of your favorite programs and will download and install the ones you pick. It doesn't need to ask any questions, so you can go do more important things. InstallPad can resume downloads you've canceled, and can even try and find the latest version of your program online.

If you administrate or develop for Windows, InstallPad can help you get a machine set up with service packs, applications or development tools without the need for CDs or running lots of scripts. With it you can quickly install a host of programs silently, pass arguments to the installers, and run post-installation scripts.

QWinApt is a package manager for Windows which allows for bulk downloading, installing and updating of a huge number of softwares.

It has got a user-friendly GUI just like that of Synaptic and the applications have been divided into categories for easy search and download. Mostly all softwares listed in QWinApt are free or open-source.

QWinApt can be downloaded from the link below. To install the app, download and extract all the zip archives from the featured downloads section on the right. Thanks Lee for sharing this great application.
