Following the installation or the desinstallation of programs, system files can be modified. The software in question perhaps crushed them with its own files, less recent, or removed them while désinstallant itself. A DLL missing for example can cause many disfonctionnements, and to find a DLL in its version of origin is not always obvious.

The utility SFC, System Spins Checker, deals with checking the modified system files of Windows and replacing them.
The program is already installed in Windows, you will need all the same your CD of installation.

SFC /SCANBOOT: To check all the System files protected with each starting
SFC /CANCEL: Cancel all the checks on standby protected System files
SFC /ENABLE: Activate the File protection Windows for a normal functioning.
SFC /QUIET: Replace all the files of incorrect version without notification.
SFC /PURGECACHE: Vacuum the mask of the files and checks the System files protected immediately.
