The trick works well when it comes to hide a file in an image, while the return of the files in the archive can be hidden. With other types of files, this return could be impractical.
Hide in an image archive
To hide the file in an image, you need:
- An image formats JPG, JPEG, GIF and BMP agree but it is possible that other formats are appropriate
- Archive that contains the folders / files to hide
The image you choose is one that appears when you double-click on the finished project.
For convenience, place your image and archive to the root of drive C: \ then open a command prompt. To do so, there are 3 ways:
- Windows key + R and then in the window that opens type "cmd" or "command"
- Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt
- Start -> Run then in the window that opens type "cmd" or "command"
Appears a black window with the following displayed:
(The version and the name may change depending on the computer: here is mine)Microsoft Windows [Version 6.0.6000]
Copyright (c) 2006 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
C: \ Users \ yourname> _
You must ensure to have C: \> instead of C: \ Users \ yourname>. To do this, write CD \ will make up the console to the root of the drive.
By default, the console is on drive C:, if it is on D:, move your files to the root of the disk.
Once you are at the root of voting record, write:
Where:copy / b + image.jpg archive.rar archiveCree.jpg
image.jpg is the image you have chosen
archive.rar is the archive containing the files to hide
archiveCree.jpg is the result: his appearance is the photo chosen, its content is the archive.
Now you should have this written below copy / b + image.jpg archive.rar archiveCree.jpg:
image.jpg
archive.rar
1 file (s) copied (s)
Look at the root of your drive, you should have the file archiveCree.jpg
If this is not the case, you have not followed all the directions.
If you have this file, you can see that the picture is much the same, but not its size.
