To manage the Windows services, you are probably using the console service. For a list of those running, to determine the useful services for example, the simplest is through the command line.
- Click the Start button and then click Run.
- Type the command cmd and click Ok.
- In the command prompt window that appears, type the command net start and press the Enter key.
- The list of currently running services is displayed.
- To copy this list in a text file, type the command net start> C: \ Services.txt.
- Services.txt file in the root of local drive C: \ contains the list of services running.
- Note that for more information on the services running, you can use the command sc query type = service.
