Why too many search results when I give specific titles?

hello friends,

Whenever I search for a filename giving its specific details, the search machine gives lots of results related to each and every word of the filename.

Why so many results?
Could'nt I get the specific filename at instance?

There is one way you can find your specific file from the search machine.
Type the correct command-when you select the Find command from the Start menu,you may be leaving space in between the words of the filename while searching for the file you want.
Use "?" as a place holder otherwise Windows will think you're looking for all instances of the individual words.

For example, if you're looking for your favorite old time mp3, "Home on the Range," and you use "home on the range" as the search name you will get every instance for the words home, on, the, and range, even if the letters of the search words are buried in another word (i.e on in phone). Enter the search name as "home?on?the?range" and Windows will find the correct file.

what you are doing is called basic searching and incremental searching.

Basic searching-searches and displays all the results of every word provided in the string.

Incremental searching-searches the results for all the possible combination of words provided in the string and displays it.

Since you want to search the specific file and get displayed, use the command "?" instead of space while giving the filename.
