How to enable Right Click Menu to Save Orkut Photos

Hi friends,

Remember those good old days when we could just right-click and download photos from Orkut albums. Well Orkut has disabled right clicking on photos other than those images in your own albums. There are numerous Orkut profiles with fake picture copied from genuine users. So, this is indeed a very good move by Orkut to control privacy of its users.

But don't worry friends i have found a solution for this now by following few simple steps you can save pictures of another users:-

1. First Open the photo/image that you want to download.
   
   
2. Click on it and hold down the left mouse key and drag it to the tool bar, and release the mouse key.
   
   
3. Now it should open in a new tab with only the image.
   
   
4. Right Click on the image, and select Save As, browse to the path where you want to save the image and click on save.

There is one more steps of doing it by disabling Java Script and following are the steps for it:-

1. First you need to disable Java script ?
   
   
   
   • Open a Mozilla Firefox.
   • Go to Tools - - >Options
   • Click on Content
   • Make an Uncheck on Enable JavaScript’ and Enable Java
   • Click on OK
   
   
   
2. Now load the image that needs to be saved on the browser, and press F12. The Firebug Console pops up.
   
   
3. Now press the inspect button and set the focus on the image. Now right click the code of the image in the console and select Edit HTML’. From the HTML code editor, delete the following code:
   
   
   
   • oncontextmenu="return false;"
   
   
   
4. Now have a check you right click menu is enabled and you can save the image.

Thanks i was finding some kind of solution for this and you provide me but can you tell me if i am using Internet Explorer than what steps i need to follow for the above one.

Sure i will help you out with this if you are an Opera User in step 1 you have to replace it with the following steps:-

Press F12 - - > From the Menu that appears.
Make an Uncheck on Enable JavaScript and Enable Java


For IE 7 Follow this steps:-

1. To enable or disable Java:
   
   • From the Tools menu, or the Tools drop-down in the upper right, select Internet Options.
     
   • Click the Programs tab.
     
   • Click Manage Add-ons.
     
   • Highlight Java Plug-in.
     
   • Under "Settings", click Disable.
     
   • Click OK, and then OK again
   
   
   
2. To enable or disable JavaScript:
   
   
   • From the Tools menu, or the Tools drop-down in the upper right, choose Internet Options.
     
   • Click the Security tab.
     
   • Click Custom Level.
     
   • Scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list. Click Disable or Enable.
     
   • Close and restart your browser.

Well this is nice trick & I will try this later & let you know if this works for me or not!

Hope this works since its really annoying when a right click dosent work on the Orkut photos!
