Windows Vista - repair corrupted system files

Some library files and Vista are replaced when you install programs. With the possible result of system failures. Fortunately there is a good practice to replace the original versions, system files corrupted.
  • To do this, click Start and click Run. If the Run menu is not in the menu list, type the Windows key + r

  • In the window type: SFC / scannow and click OK

  • A scan of the system and is performed with replacement of any damaged system files with versions of origin.

  • If you have any doubt about the reliability of your system, it is possible to check only

  • To do this, type SFC / VERIFYONLY

Think about this trick before a complete re-installation of Windows Vista

This trick also works for Windows XP
