If you try to change the location of the folder "Favorites" on Vista, you will discover qu'IE7 will be unable to save new favorites. This is not a bug, but a side effect of the protections of Vista UAC and protected mode of IE7. Fortunately, just a simple command to allow IE7 to access a folder named "Favorites" moved ...
Step : 1
To move the folder "Favorites", it begins with the classic, as it existed in Windows XP. But this is only a first step:
- The Vista Start menu, click on your name to access your personal files.
- Select the Favorites folder, then click the right mouse button and choose Properties.
- Open the Locations tab.
- Click on Move and select the new location (here, "D: \ Favorites").
- Confirm the change.
The file is now moved. But if you start Internet Explorer7, you will see that it becomes unable to add any new favorite.
