How To Block Websites Without Any Software?

Is that any way to block adult websites or cetain unwanted site without using any software.
Can anyone offer any advice?

Just do this and block unwanted softwares from accesing .

Steps:

1] Browse C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
2] Find the file named "HOSTS"
3] Open it in notepad
4] Under "127.0.0.1 localhost" Add 127.0.0.2 www.thesitenamethatyouwantblock.com , and that site will no longer be accessable.
5] Done!

-So-

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.2 www.blockedsite.com

-->www.blockedsite.com is now unaccessable<--


For every site after that you want to add, just add "1" to the last number in the internal ip (127.0.0.2) and then the addy like before.

IE: 127.0.0.3 www.blablabla.com
127.0.0.4 www.blablabla.com
127.0.0.5 www.blablabla.com

The hosts file can be altered or removed easily as well.
Time to time, even trojan/virus uses it.

I just tried it but it keeps saying i don’t have enough memory and to try again! but i know i have enough memory since i barely use or save/download anything on my computer! please help!

great advice. Blocks the ads from loading which makes a safer and faster sufing experience. Usually one of my first steps after installing a fresh copy of Windows.
