Defragment boot files - Windows XP

You can speed up the boot sequence of Windows XP by defragmenting the files used at startup. Edit and then open the registry key:

Quote:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / Microsoft / Dfrg / BootOptimizeFunction.
Double click on the Enable and enter Y in the Value data. OK OK, close the Registry Editor and restart your computer. This setting helps to put all the startup files in one place for faster and thus accelerate the startup of your computer.
