To rearrange paragraphs in a Word document, many users through the functions copy / paste. But there is a lot faster, more accurate and entirely driven keyboard for not using the mouse.

Word is full of tricks and shortcuts to speed up and simplify editing documents. The shortcut [Shift] [Alt] and allows you to easily move paragraphs. Here's how:

  • Press the combination [Ctrl] + [Arrow cursor up] to go to the top paragraph.

  • Press the combination [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Down Arrow Cursor] to select the entire paragraph.

  • Press the combination [Shift] + [Alt] + [Arrow cursor up] to move the selected paragraph to paragraph which precedes it, or [Shift] + [Alt] + [Down Arrow Cursor] to move the selected paragraph after the paragraph that follows it. Repeat the combination as many times as needed to place the paragraph to the desired location.
