    Create and Use a Password Reset Disk in Windows

    With Windows XP and Vista can protect each user account with a password, but if a user forgets his password you may lose all its settings and user account settings customized computer.     Create a file password reset diskette, usb key .

    To create a disk password reset an account administrator of the system (for a computer that is not a member of a domain) it must do:
    For XP: Open the Control Panel, click User Accounts "and your account. On the left side of the window, under Related Tasks, click Prevent a forgotten password "
    For Vista: Open the Control Panel, click User Accounts "(2 times). On the left side of the window, click on "Create a hard reset password"



    The Forgotten Password Wizard starts, click Next. In the dropdown discs choose to use the support you need (3'1 Disk / 2, Removable Disk, USB ...)



    In the field user password type your current password and click the Next button when activated.



    Click Finish.

    Use the file to recover Windows password

    A file named userkey.psw was created on the media you've chosen and you can use this support when you forgot your password session windows to retrieve your user account and your personal computer . Here's how to use it.

    The Wizard password reset starts, you must follow the instructions in the wizard to retrieve your account settings, from your hard reset a password, and create a new password for your account :

    Open a new session with your new password and store your disk / reset key in a safe place for possible future use because you do not need to create a new disk for your new password.
