Re: How To Rename Recycle Bin ?

This trick allows you to change the name of the Windows Recycle Bin. It involves the registry. If you are not familiar with it, do not hesitate to make a backup.

Click Start, Run, type regedit and then press the Enter key. Go to the following key: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ CLSID \ (645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E).

Double click right on the value chain named (Default) and assign the value of your choice (this value corresponds to the name you want to assign to the trash). Then restart your computer.

Here is a simple method to rename recycle bin :

Goto start -> Run & type "regedit" & press Enter.

now explorer the registeries to the following path

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\

then click on Edit menu & select Find.

Enter this value to search "645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E" & press enter

when the search finishes, you will see a Subfolder ShellFolder contains value:

    Attributes [binary] = 40 01 00 20 [default]

    Change to:
50 01 00 20 (Renaming allowed and context menu contains 'Rename')
    70 01 00 20 (Renaming allowed)
(From above Values use any 1)
then click on Recycle Bin and press F2 & give any name.
