When you reinstall Windows XP, you'll have an activation, which can be annoying especially since you can not activate as many times as you want. But there is a trick to keep the activation files and then copy them on your newly installed Windows XP:
When Windows XP is properly installed and activated from Microsoft, copy the following files on a USB drive, CD-R or whatever you want:
- C: \ windows \ system32 \ wpa.dbl
- C: \ windows \ system32 \ wpa.bak
- C: \ windows \ system32 \ wpabaln.exe
When you reinstall Windows XP, copy just the files saved on USB drive, CD-R or c: \ windows \ system32, and your Windows is activated again.
