How to change IP address

The IP address is a series of numbers, either:
  • The IP address you use to connect to the router (internal network)
  • The IP address that your ISP (Internet Service Providers) has awarded to the router (External Network, Internet)

Two possible cases

Depending on your ISP, you have a fixed IP or a dynamic IP.

IP: the ISP assigns the final each subscriber. In this case, no renewal and impossible to change the IP address remains the same (Free case, for example).

Variable IP (dynamic IP) when the IP address may change regularly through the FAI (case of Orange).

Change IP (for a dynamic IP)

The changes are more or less regular. Just know that sometimes turn off and turn the modem.

Alternative: hide his IP

There are free software such as Anonymizer or IP-liberty to go to hide his IP by connecting to servers called "proxy" which, when you go on the Internet, gives the IP address of the proxy, in fact, it ' is not yours but that appears Proxy.

However, your ISP can always see what you do on the Internet since it connects anyway through the ISP.
