    Burning a disk image

Some believe that burning a disc image requires prior to extract the files. Then they find that there is a problem. Yes, but which one? Is it a bad burn or download?

    Definition of the ISO image

A disk image is the image of a CD (or DVD) ready to be burned. The image contains all the data to be burned without difficulty. So just burn the image as it is! Strictly no manipulation! Needless to lose time on betides which only serve to ruin a cake! Needless to use Winzip, daemontools and consort! Besides extracting the image files, you may lose the start boot in the case of CD and DVD bootable. "

In fact, there are several disk image formats:
    • CCD: Clone CD format
    • CUE: format Cue Sheet
    • ISO image : the most common format is the international standard ISO 9660
    • MDS: Media Descriptor format used by Alcohol
    • NRG format: Nero Image Editor
    • PDI: format Instant CD / DVD
    • CDI: format DiscJuggler

    Warning

If you burn with a high burn speed, it is possible that your CD / DVD is useless simply because of a burn speed too high. The recommended burn speed depends on the recorder, in doubt, choose a speed of 8x.
