In Windows, we use Windows search engine to find any files and folders in the hard disk drive. Often we all face many problem with this search engine like the file is not found or it may take too long to find the file. If you are seeking for a better solution than this new search engine will solve your problem.
"Everything" is a new search engine for Windows. It will replace the default Windows Search Engine with a much faster one. Unlike Windows search, "Everything" initially displays every file and folder on your computer (hence the name "Everything"). In order to find your file, you need to type in a search filter to limit what files and folders are displayed. It will only use the names and generally takes a few seconds to build it's database (1,000,000 files takes about 1 minute).
It uses very little system resources (1,000,000 files uses about 45MB of RAM and 5MB of disk space). It continuously monitors your file system and makes changes in its database accordingly.
