Connecting iPhone / iPod touch to the WiFi Livebox

Here's how to connect an iPhone / iPod touch to the WiFi Livebox:

Setting the iPhone / iPod touch
    • Go to Settings
    • Select WiFi
    • Move the little WiFi cursor to the right and the cursor "Confirm access"
    • Select the small blue arrow network and to "forget this network"

Then back to the main menu, choose Settings and then WiFi and wait for the iPod research all WiFi networks. Click on the name of your network (not the blue arrow but the name of your network).
The iPod then request a password. This password is the WEP key of the Livebox (it is located beneath it).

    • Type this WEP key OBSERVING THE CAPITAL (click on the arrow below the Q, each letter you write) SPACES AND WITHOUT ...
    • Do not immediately "Join", we must first put the Livebox mode association

    Put the Livebox Mode Association
Press the BUTTON 1 Livebox (rear if it is a Inventel or below if it is a Sagem) to make a fashion association. The WiFi diode flashes of the Livebox, and now with the iPod do "Join".

Wait a moment that connects the iPod, and voila ... You can surf the Internet.
Obviously the mode of the association Livebox does only once during the first WiFi connection to your iPod.

Re: Connecting iPhone / iPod touch to the WiFi Livebox

    Hi,

Sorry I am not very good with computers apparently, I struggle to connect my ipod touch to my livebox. I need to enter the password, I understood it was the wep key, but what about the little dashes in the keY? Should we write them as well or replace by spaces?
Then after if I understood well I click on the 1 button on the livebox and then join?
Thank you very much in advance for your help

Click your livebox network and key in your WEP key. When asked for a password remember to have all the letters on capslock and no spaces. Your WEP key is printed at the base of your livebox.

I think that your antivirus that you have installed or the firewall might be blocking connection.

    I must be missing something!!
I cannot find a WEP number on my livebox.
How many characters will it have approx?
If its the same as the Security key, then it has 26 characters and it doesnt work for me.
    Any ideas?

You can try to setup Livebox manually without using the installation CD. Click here for a guide on how to setup your Livebox manually without using the installation CD. You can also get more information for troubleshooting the livebox directly from the same website.

Thanks so much. I tried everything and nothing worked. If you enter the password hold down one then hit join it works. Thanks again.
