Windows Vista has some of the features present in it that might increase your efficiency and productivity of doing work which other OS lacks. Here is a list of features which you may or may not be knowing and are eager to know more about it. Have a look over here.
1. Large icons on Vista
In Windows Vista, an improvement was made to the icons. They may be much larger and more beautiful as that in earlier versions of Windows.
Of course, for large icons, you can always do: Right click on the desktop -> display -> large icons OR
when you're on the desktop, hold the Ctrl key and spin the wheel of your mouse up to see icons, and down to shrink.
2. Share Folders in Vista
Like Windows XP, you can share any folder here by just right clicking on the folder and then clicking on Sharing feature. This will start a wizard allowing you to give your desired share name. In Vista, a new feature has been added along with this. Here you can also limit the total number of simultaneous users to your folder and also grant them permissions. So if you want to share your folder like you used to do in XP:
- Right click on the folder and click Properties
- Click Sharing -> Advanced Sharing
- Share this folder and give your share name
- You can set the permission and limit the total number of simultaneous users also
