    Hi Sumesh,

What I know little about Botnet virus is that its a kind of virus that spreads through internet, which makes that system a slave of some remote server. Now this server commands those infected machines through internet. Usually, this virus affects all the PC's in that network. Hence this virus is called Botnet (short form for Robot Networks), which affects the PC's in this botnet network.

I did a lot of research to find out how it can be traced from a network of 100 or more PC's, but could not find a satisfying solution . Although what i realized is that this virus selects the machines in the network dynamically. So i feel its a rather tricky task to figure out the machine from 100 or more PC's.
