I want to fix, IE if Firefox is working

Okay here is my problem

System info: Microsoft Windows Vista Business
Lenovo ThinkPad T61 7658 Laptop Computer
IE 7
Norton 360

I tried to open IE yesterday and got the message as "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I checked my internet connectivity. I am using Firefox now to write this message. I came to know that a windows update was installed around 12:50 p.m: Cumulative Security Update for IE7 in Windows Vista (KB950759)

I have tried resetting Internet Explorer settings using the advanced tab under Internet options on the tool tab. I have tried different home pages, deleted the browing history under the tools tab, Turned off firewall but all in vain.

How can I fix this.

Why don't you remove the Security Update and see if it the problem still persists.

Hi SreeKanth and I am very sorry that I didn't mentioned it but I uninstalled the Security update but IE was still not working.

Are there some other updates that came down without your knowledge? Have you checked your firewall settings? Have you tried resetting your router and/or modem?

Shell I'm Having The Same Exact Problem And I Have Had To Download Both Firefox And Safari And I Would Really Like To Know What Happened Because The Dates You Mentioned Are Almost The Exact Dates My Ie Issues Started. So If You Are Ever Able To Resolve It Please Let Me Know!
