is TEID in GTP unique on one eNodeB

    Hi all,

Is TEID in GTP-U unique on one eNodeB? In other words, can eNodeB multiplex lets say SIP traffic from multiple UEs onto the same GTP tunnel?

    Thanks,
    Nenad

As you are asking for GTP-U TEID, so there could be a one to one mapping between a GTP-U TEID and EPS vearer at different end points like eNodeB, S-GW and PDN-GW, S-GW and PDN-GW, across their supported interfaced on the data flow path.

    Thanks for reply.

I think we found it in standard too. In ts.129.281 it is saying: "Therefore no two remote GTP-U endpoints shall send traffic to a GTP-U protocol entity using the same TEID value except for data forwarding as part of mobility procedures". So I guess they should be unique.
