How can I create a hotspot with encryption?

I would have a business trip for a few days,while I have to use hotel wifi for working and communicating. But there are some very important information I would need to transmit.Do you have any ideas to make it very safe when I use hotel wifi? How do you think about this software: My WIFI Router? or Connectify?

Most of this hotspot software gives you WPA/WEP protection. WEP is stronger one. But they are not very secure. To secure your data you have to encrypt them. Like using HTTPS access. In Firefox you can use addons like HTTPS Everywhere or Force-TLS. This add more security to your data which is not easy to access by anyone. Or the best way is to use a VPN.
