Best MTNL Plan for heavy downloads in Mumbai

I wanted to know which internet plans are good for heavy downloads that are available in Mumbai. I was living in Liverpool, England for around seven years from now and I have returned now back in my home town. So I asked my brother which is the best internet provider in Mumbai and he said that it was MTNL. Since I download many songs, movies and games, I wanted to know if MTNL provides internet plans good for large amount of downloads.

You brother is right and I too agree with him that MTNL is the best internet service provider available in Mumbai. It provides great internet plans at a reasonable price and also a great service. There are many schemes for heavy downloader which include unlimited plans, unlimited plans with combo offers and unlimited plans with FUP. I don’t know what you budget is but I use one plan out of Broadband Unlimited Combo Plan. I have subscribed to DSL_Unlimited_495_Combo plan which gives me 512 kbps of speed at cost of Rs. 495 per month. Also with this plan I get 25 calls free per month. Another plan under this category is DSL_Unlimited_995_Combo which gives 1 MBps of speed at cost of Rs. 995 along with 25 free calls every month.

When you are getting the MTNL connection, let me tell you that you should first inquire in your locality if the services are available or not. There are many areas in Mumbai where MTNL provides landline services but not internet services. It is the same issue in my locality. Also you will be charged up to Rs. 1500 for the internet connection and installation charges. The price of the plans that are mentioned by the above users will not be just that will be shown in your bill. You will be charged tax of 12.36% of your bill. Also it is suggested to buy your own modem for internet connection as the modem provided by MTNL will need you to pay Rs. 50 per month.
