Google plans to take strict control on sites which provided Pirated content

Google looks like this time dealing seriously with those who provide Pirated content. As per a news, Google is making major changes to search algorithm to push back sites which has pirated media content, while those who genuinely provides such stuff will be on the topper part. The common example is audio mp3 files which are quiet easily distributed by many website for free.

These are legal copies of those who produce and without their consent it is widely published and distributed. As one of the major source of information, Google is taking initiative to deal piracy more firmly.

There are tons of websites like that. Every time when one site is banned another comes up suddenly. I am sure there is no way to control piracy. Recently SOPA & PIPA created a quiet havoc among many. Because if any changes is made then it is going to affect many. Only those who are involved in piracy will not be affected. A simple change gives drastic effect on many website. As there are various types of business carried on web, and it would be easy for Google to make specific changes for each of them.

This things must be done after time interval. Google does not differentiate among sites web. It gives exposure to all and that is the reason this search engine rocks. But many smart people tries to take benefit of the same. Google is never involved in spreading piracy, it is best in providing information to users on various stuff. And if a users searches some unethical stuff, then to some extent he is the one who is responsible. Web is very large, and it is not possible to filter everything. At some point a group of population enjoys piracy while at some places people are sensible to go for only genuine products.

So to some extent filtering or blocking the black part of web is not at all possible. This changes will surely put some affect on piracy. What I had seen from my experience, the web has became popular due to piracy only. A quiet large number of population still today search for free music, games, and movies. This has spread Internet worldwide. There is a short thinking in mind of people that Internet is only the place where they get a free game for which the might have to pay hundreds of dollars.

Looking for free stuff, is another major advantage of web. Ample of websites work on free games and music which they provide through natural way, not by simply giving a download of commercial product. I am just wondering how Google will work on this. They might act on behalf of copyright notice sent to them.

There are many initiative taken to make web for better and secure. In past there was major issue with piracy. Economically this affects a number of business. Especially movies and other stuff. Gaming industry is the another sector which is hurt in many ways. Somehow this is not fare enough. Somehow Google is taking more initiative in fixing the piracy stuff. We common found this websites when we search for a mp3 or games. While the official are not at all available on top result.

This gives a very easy ways to user to download pirated content and then getting use to the same. Somehow it is not at all possible to stop piracy completely, but there are ways it can be control from spreading. And for those search engines has to play vital role. Spammers or hackers users a search engine a powerful tool to promote their content around various parts of world. They go with free links and download type banners. This encourages many to access that things. Torrents are common example.

Torrents are made to share file around the web. But this is wrongly used by people. I am using torrent to backup my database over other web servers, and I never found such a easy software. It is right that there are people who easily take advantage of technology.

Somehow this guys will find a alternative way. That is the reason I support open source community. If this community is powerful then there are less chances of piracy. Commercial softwares or games cannot invest heavily on anti-piracy. They are in business to earn money and provide better products. But the same is then manipulated and modified by others unofficially and shared on web. Even if Google blocks every pirated website, the era of CD/DVD piracy will come back. I remember to find cheap software and game CD/DVD's.

If you lucky it will work fine or else there are no chances of using them. They are promoted well and sold on around 10% of the actual value that is set by the official provider. Countries require a strict anti-piracy lows. To some extent it is possible to control is developed nation, but in developing countries there is no major investment and awareness available on the same. I had seen a number of people who do not know difference between pirated and genuine content.

Awareness is important to some extent. Google's result is for those people who are technically fit. They knows what is piracy. But those users who are innocent and are not aware, if found a download like of music pack, they would go for that blindly.

That is why Google took the initiative. It will only provide those content which are better and genuine. Google is use widely around web and it is the only reliable source of information. This time when you search for some movie download, you will land on those providers who are natural. Google did not said that it is going to completely remove those content, but it is going to push back them to other pages.

A user never click on the second or third page to review all listed sites. Ample of them are scrap. It took quiet resources to make such changes in such a large database.

Google is also adding a counter-notice tool. This tool will help those to who are charged with piracy for purposely. So if some people try to blame a site purposely for piracy, they can use counter-notice to challenge their notice.
