Windows Server 2003 not accepting any other version of Opera 12 except build 1422

I had installed Opera 12 build 1422 on the server in my office which runs on Windows Server 2003. After installing Opera 12, I used it for few days before realizing that another version of Opera 12, that is of build 1441 is no available. So I uninstalled Opera 12 build 1422 and installed one with build 1441. But it failed to work. I again tried to install Opera 12 build 1422, but even it failed to work. I have tried installing other older version of Opera, but none of them are working. Can someone tell me why it is happening?

I am reading such kind of problem for first time. I have used Opera for such a long time. I have used various versions on standalone system, servers and some more places. I can’t tell you what the problem can be as I am not acquainted with working of Windows Server 2003. But if you search on the website of Opera, you might find some patch or maybe some fix that might solve the problem. It is surprising that if some problem existed how did the Opera 12 build 1422 run for the first time.

After you started the Opera 12 for the first time, didn’t it ask you to report any problem? This is because, if Opera 12 or any other version of Opera if detects problem in its own working, then it asks you if you want to report the problem. According to me the reason for this problem must be the anti-virus software installed on the server you use. The Opera 12 build 14222 must have tried to connect to some online server which must be detected as malicious or suspicious by the anti-virus software. That is why it must be not allowing you to start any version of Opera as all of them might need to connect to the same server.
