| Re: Is Deepnet Explorer good for avoiding phishing scam
Deepnet Explorer acts like a browser but it concentrates more on facilitating P2P networking and RSS feeds. Other than browsing it provides features like tabbed browsing, built-in search function, basic toolbar customization, integrated mouse gestures and keyboard shortcuts. P2P networking is a file sharing typ which has been integrated in into Deepnet Explorer. It comes with several news feeds preinstalled and you can add more, you can organize the feeds tree structure and check out for the feeds by keyword using toolbar. The latest version of Deepnet Explorer is 1.5.3 (BETA 3) which is quite old. There has not been any update since then, you can download Deepnet Explorer from here. |

| Re: Is Deepnet Explorer good for avoiding phishing scam
I don’t think Deepnet Explorer is a good choice as it doesn’t offer much more functionality like parental controls, synchronization, automatic updates, spell check. I don’t think that Deepnet Explorer is capable of boasting full range of robust security features which you can get on other web browser like Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera 8 etc. Deepnet Explorer seems to e copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer, they have just added tabbed Web page browsing and some built-in innovations. It is not a higher-ranked internet browser and is not used by the mass. That’s the reason I think there has not been any update for Deepnet Explorer since 2006. |
