Activating 64-bit version of internet explorer 10

Sponsored Links
I have started using Windows 8 and I would like to activate 64 bit version of Internet Explorer 10. I asked some of my friend but they said they don’t have any idea about the same. But one of them said that you have to do something in security tab. Now the problem is i cannot find any such option there. Can anyone of you help me out to activate my IE 10 to 64-bit? Thanks in advance.

Re: Activating 64-bit version of internet explorer 10

First can you tell me which version of Windows 8 Consumer Preview are you using 32-bit or 64-bit ? FYI, if you have 32-bit version of Windows 8 Consumer Preview then you won’t be having any kind of option to enable 64-bit version of Internet Explorer. And if you are using 64-bit version of Windows 8 Consumer Preview then only you can use Internet Explorer 64-bit and you can also user 32-bit version.

And as you said you dint fins any such option in Security tab, you should have 64 bit windows 8 to make that option appear over there

Re: Activating 64-bit version of internet explorer 10

Check out the steps to enable 64 bit mode Internet Explorer 10

• Open Internet Explorer 10 in Desktop version.
• Now from tool menu you will have to go Internet Options. Now you will have to click on the gear which would be to the left hand side at the bottom.
• You will find Security tab and in that you will get 2 options "Enable 64 bit mode" and "Enable protection mode".
• From that 2 option you will have to select "Enable 64 bit mode".
• Now just click on OK option. And restart the system.
• Now you can use Internet Explorer 10 in 64 bit mode
