Firefox 12 is the last version for Windows XP Pro?

It is good to hear that long awaited Firefox 12 is out from the Beta. It is now a complete version packed with several new features both for end users and developers along with hundreds or may be thousands of bug fixes. Finally looking forward to try out but in my case I am still using the Windows XP Pro service Pack 3. So I have doubt that whether the Firefox 12 will work on Windows XP Pro SP3 or not. I have seen that the layout of the Firefox 12 is really different. If it won’t work, then I would really going to stick with Firefox 11 since it is useless to download and try.

I have previously heard that Firefox that will or may be going to appear in June 2012 will be the last version on Windows 2000 as well as Windows XP without Service Pack 2 or higher is run. This is due to a change in the development environment of Visual Studio 2005 to Visual Studio 2010, which no longer supports these old operating systems. Microsoft itself has discontinued support for its own OSs like Windows XP RTM, SP1, Windows XP and Windows 2000 respectively in 2010. Firefox12 from Mozilla will use the benefits of Visual Studio 2010 such as a more modern compiler. Thereof less than 0.5% of Firefox users on Windows are affected. Corporate users can enjoy even longer around half a year of support for these systems. Thanks to the ESR version

Firefox 12will debut April 24 should be replaced by future release only a month and a half later, on June 4: from then on, people will be excluded possess a terminal with an OS which are too dated.

Mozilla announced that the twelfth iteration of its Firefox Web browser would be the last to run Windows XP and Windows 2000. Firefox 13 will arrive meanwhile from June 4. Firefox on Windows XP and 2000 is almost over. The foundation that drives the development of Firefox announced that the version 12 of its popular open source Web browser will be the last to run under operating systems Windows XP and Windows 2000. Available from April 24, this version will work also for these versions of Windows with Service Pack 3. In parallel with this announcement could shake some CIOs, Mozilla has also said it would stop service completely updated for Firefox 3.6 Security, initially launched in 2010. The Firefox support 12 (version for businesses ESR) will close for its May 8, 2013 - corresponding to the support announced for 54 weeks. Given that support for Windows XP SP3 ends on its side in April 2014.

Firefox 12 is available for download. The ability to download the new version of the browser is not yet over all sites of Mozilla. Continuing in the quick development cycle opened after Firefox4, Mozilla is to integrate new, more or less interesting every six weeks. This version has no major differences compared to the previous one and is all in all a version that refines what has been done so far. Mozilla has managed to make it more streamlined the upgrade process, which this version will require a permit in less (User Account Control) in Windows, speeding up the operation. Page earns Source line numbers and line breaks are supported in the title.

Mozilla has improved the "Find in Page" and it pastes the URL in the download manager which automatically starts the download. The foundation has been working on the CSS properties, implementing column-fill, as well as text-align-last and added experimental support ECMAScript 6 Map and Set objects. As for OS X, Mozilla has solved a problem that WebGL reduced performance on some types of hardware. I know quite a few that are still running Windows XP, and that with Firefox 11 and who will therefore soon pass Firefox 12. Still some users have problems with Plug-in/Extensions compatibility and other reasons perhaps.

For Firefox 13 which is going to available on June needs the minimum requirements of the browser will XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). It will not run on Windows 2000, Windows XP RTM (original mid-2001 build) or XP SP1. Mozilla seems to ignore that nearly 40% of Firefox users are (still) running XP and that the majority of users of Firefox 3 is not satisfied with the likely development of the browser, and not limited by their operating systems..
