Comparing Torrent vs Direct Download

I want to download many thing but confused to use direct download or use TORRENT. Which is the best someone please help me?

See in my case Torrent is the one because we download many thing and want our computer to be virus free so torrent help us to download file error free.While direct download can cause virus to the computers.

Actually we can’t tell ,it depends upon the fact such as availability, speed etc .Direct download is little faster than torrent and depends upon hardware also.
If you want to an secure downloading then TORRENT is nice.

I would definitely use TORRENT because the chances of download is most of the time success and that to without errors my college students also use these only for safe computing and downloading. If you want to download fast then direct download is the best compared to torrent and then you can scan with antivirus like AVG,AVAST etc.
