I found some plugins and applications used to use our beloved WordPress as an e-commerce portal, like Ebay or Free Market, to sell products, or what comes to mind. It's not as simple as what we do every day, "post", but with the help of tools, it is all much easier.

WordPress was born as a platform for blogging, but today lets you do just about anything thanks to the unstoppable development of plugins for all needs.
That certainly could not miss the opportunity to adapt the CMS to sell online.
The benefits from using WP are many: among all the versatility, flexibility and simplicity from many points of view.

Many times we talked about WordPress as a CMS just for creating personal or business blog. WordPress is excellent, even for creating personal websites, without necessarily having a blog. There are many plugins that add features and special touches that allow us to leverage the core of this cms. WordPress can also be used to create your own online shop e-commerce.

WordPress started in 2003 and originally a software package to a blog to begin with. In 2003 there were several CMS systems on the market but blogging was not very popular and the existing systems do not seem well adjusted. Wordpress was the first (or famous) open source software that is able to bring change here. With tens of thousands of WordPress blogs made some of which have become major international websites.

These sites grow by itself and it must always more with it. Thus, therefore regular extensions for Wordpress. Some of these extensions are interesting because they help you through your website that was created with Wordpress, making money.

You have a site made with WordPress and you want to open an e-commerce?

There are countless ways to add a section to your e-commerce site built with WordPress. The simplest solution is undoubtedly to rely on a plugin. You've already heard that e-commerce plugin for WordPress are limited, trivial, lacking in functionality. Perhaps for most of the plugins is true. But there might be solutions, even for a fee, allowing you to easily and intuitively configure your online store without any programming knowledge.

WordPress is suitable for an e-commerce?

The answer can only be one: it depends.

WordPress is a CMS designed for blogging or otherwise for a variety of sites in a way that can be attributed to a blog (newspapers, websites showcase business type, etc.). As such, its capabilities for e-commerce are being added by themes or plugins, but WordPress is not natively oriented e-commerce, as they are Magento or other frameworks. It always depends on the type of e-commerce site that you want to implement. So the greater the complexity of your e-commerce, the more difficult it will encounter in WordPress.

But for some time, this type of CMS platform, has received a further important milestone in the world of 'e-commerce. In fact, not only can you create a variety of blog publishing, but also a real web site dedicated exclusively to online sales.
