New Tab (+) Button Missing in Google Chrome

I have installed the Google chrome on Mac OS X Lion. After installing I have noticed that the little + sign or button which is meant for new tab button has been gone. The color of the current tab as lighter in color than other tabs. It is some sort of annoying. If I change themes, then also the same issue. I didn’t notice it in Beta release.

The solution is must be in the mouse settings. It must affect the "middle button" on the middle button of your mouse. The wish must be on auto-scroll and since Chrome does not support this parameter in native.
