My computer keeps crashing and I don't know how to fix it help please.

Recently I downloaded Frostwire but I think it was a corrupted version and it's killed one of my drivers or something idk. Most of the time when I start my computer up I have to keep turning it off and on then it will eventually gives me my start up options. I have to start in safemode. Sometimes I can even start it normally but no matter what eventually it still will crash when that happens a blue screen pops up for a second and disappears which I can't read a word of. After that the screen goes black and the computer is still forcing me to turn it off by holding the shutoff button.
I've tried many things to fix it I checked all the drivers and they seem to be fine.
I've tried restoring to the point before frostwire and it still doesn't help.
Idk what to do I'm getting very upset please help.

Tell me about the system configuration of your computer and provide the log file of the crashing over here.
Try to boot the computer into safe mode and see whether crashing is occurring or not. Also check whether the version of Frostwire installed on your system is compatible with operating system installed on the computer.

Sorry it's taking so long but every time I go to reply my computer shuts down. What do you mean by log file and how do i get it?
Yes the computer still crashes in safe mode.

And it was a compatible version yes.

To view the log files follow the below steps:

1. Press Windows key (which is on keyboard) + R and type“eventvwr.msc” and press Enter or clickOK.

Security note: If UAC is enabled, then you’ll get a UAC prompt on screen. Please specify
credentials or permission to pass the UAC elevation.

2. Click Yes to give the Event Viewer permission to run.
3. Expand Windows Logs and select Security from the left side.
4. In the middle of the Event Viewer you’ll see Number of events,
and what has happened etc, whether it was a log-in or a logoff which
was performed.

I think that you need to update the BIOS to the latest and that can resolve the issue. There might be some issue with the CMOS battery in the computer and so you can also try by changing that too.

How do I update the bios? I'm not very computer savvy...

Since it is giving a blue screen error, have you tried to use the repair option of operating system by booting it with the OS disk? First go to bios and change the boot option to cd/dvd and then insert the os disk and restart the computer. Once it is restarted boot from the cd/dvd and then try to perform the repair of the OS and see if it eliminates the problem.
