Unable to change Status on after installing Messenger Plus! on WLM

Well I am having an issue with the last release of Messenger Plus. I have found that I am not able to change Status by right clicking on the Messenger icon located on the Task bar. I am running Windows 7 on my computer. any help to fix the matter will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have noticed the same issue. but found that status was getting changed but there was huge delay while doing the same. it was taking almost 5 minutes to update the status. However I have found that WLM did not seems to start at all. There were many msnmsgr.exe appeared in the Task Manager Process list. I think it should be bug issue and it should be fixed by the developers. I am hoping that they will work on the same as early as possible.

I don’t know whether below mentioned solution will work for you or not but you can give a try to below mentioned solution.
You should back up following registry key from the registry editor.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSNMessenger
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MessengerService

You should backup following registry key from the registry editor. If you issue did not seems to resolve then you should then you should restore the registry keys.

You told me that you were getting number of msnmsgr.exe in the Task Manager Process. So try the following steps.

1. You have to launch Task Manager on your computer and click on Process tab.
2. You should terminate all the processes on your computer.
3. After that try to launch WLM on your computer and see whether it is working or not.

Looking at the situation I think you will need to update messenger. You should directly get updates from the official website. I don’t think so there is need of uninstalling the program.
