‘Incompatible browser’ error on Safari 5.1 after upgrading to Mac OS X Lion

Recently I have upgraded Lion and installed Safari 5.1 on it. Currently I am getting ‘incompatible browser’ while visiting some of the website. Can you tell me why I am suffering from the above mentioned issue? well I searched on the Google but there was nothing which I can use. Any help to fix the matter of mine will be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

Looking at the situation I am suggesting following solution which you can try to fix the matter of yours.

• You have to go for Safari and go for Preferences.
• Now click on Advanced and select Show Develop menu in menu bar.
• Now browse for the site and from the menu bar you have to click Develop / User Agent.
• You should try with 5.0.6. and see whether it is working or not.

I was suffering from the same issue and managed to resolve the issue by deleting the files user/library/cache folder. We know that Lion hides User/Library folder. You can simply access the same by holding down Option key when selecting GO menu.

You can give a try to following steps.

• You have to go for Safari / Preferences and Select Security tab.
• Now go for Remove All Website Data.
• After that restart safari.

Well I am highly suspecting that there could be bug issue with the browser. So contact the developer team and tell them about the issue which you are getting.
