Wireless network adapter suddenly disabled

My wireless network adapter has suddenly stopped working. I have a gateway nv57h13h laptop. It is about 1 week old. The adapter worked fine I was busy play a game when suddenlt the computer froze. I had to hold the power button in to switch off the pc. When I turned it back on my wireless adapter was gone. It's lights doesnt work and the intel my wifi also displays adapter not found. In device manager the adapter is gone. However it found a network controller but says that no driver is installed. When I say update driver nothing is found. I also dont know which adapter it is as it came with the laptop and I can't find anything on the net so I can't install the driver. When I uninstall the network controller and scan for hardware changes the pc tries to install the driver but just fails. 0

What you can do is, just press the F12 key in order to turn on the wireless while you are booting to the Windows. Can you see the wireless led light up? Please reply if this failed to help you.

I tried that along with insalling the drivers. It works dine know. But the I think the f12 did the trick thank you.
