I would like to help you. It is that not every time you can enter the IP address to access the site. It relies on the perfect requirement. Don’t worry, I will tell you the steps of how to open the website by using the IP address…. If you wish to connect the website using the IP address then follow these steps :-

    • Click on Start button.
    • Select Run
    • Type cmd in Run >>>[A black screen window will appear ]
    • Then type NSLOOKUP (website name)

You will now get the IP address of the website that you have entered in the cmd.
Now, Open the Internet Explorer and enter the IP address which you have got in the cmd. The website will appear. I hope this helps you….

Good question…….You will fail to open the website with the IP address if that website is associated with the Shared IP address. Rather you can use this method :
    For example,
    http://ip_address/$sitepreview/website_name/

Only, the website with a particular IP address would be shown if you enter the IP address in address bar.

It depends that for which site you want to access. If the site you want to access is having shared IP address then you will not be able to open that website using a single IP address.
As far as I know, For Linux with the Control Panel i used :

    http://ip-address/~username/

I hope this helps to solve the problem..…
