Is it possible to modify the search plugin for Firefox 8?

Hey guys just wanted to say that will I be able to modify something or so called the search plugin for the FF8. So in case if you all have some idea about the same then please do let me know about it as soon as possible.

I am suggesting you some steps make sure you work on that and follow it accordingly. So here are some of the steps that I am telling you.
1) Now try to make a copy of the edited relevant .xml. by closing the FF browser.
2) You can find the same file in the searchplugins folder as well, all you have to do is just delete it.
3) Now just start the browser without that file.
4) Now add that .xml back into searchplugin folder.
See if this method is working for you or not. Do give it a try for sure.

Well in the previous versions all you had to do is to modify justin.tv and then save it accordingly. But the same method is not working with the new FF8. Don’t know if there is any fix for the issue. I am waiting for the responses from your side.
