Opera mobile web browser goes to black screen on startup

I am having htc desire with android 2.2. When I start any application on the opera, there is a splash screen and I get a completely black screen. At this moment I cannot do anything. No keys work except I can click the home key. When I press this key, it takes me back to the phone’s home. I have tried following a link form some other place; still I got the black screen. I don’t know what the problem is. I am very annoyed. Has anybody faced this issue before? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I would suggest you to try to stop the opera and try to restart it. Also you must try to restart the phone.
Make sure that you have cleared the cache. If you are still facing the same problems then I think you should google on the on the internet regarding this. There are many forums available on the internet that might provide you with some help.

• From which Opera version were you upgrading (10.5 beta, 11.0 or 11.1)
• ROM you have on your phone (stock or custom e.g. Cyanogen)
• Did you do any modifications to your system (changed fonts, rooted etc?)
• Do you see Opera splash screen when starting?
• Attach logcat logs if possible
• Attach contents of /system/fonts if possible
• Attach listings of Opera directory and all of its sub directories
