- Disable Instant Search Permanently:
- Log into your Google account.
- Go to Google preference page
- bottom of the page, select Do not use Google Instant
- Click on save.
Do following things to turn off Google instant and get your old Google search.
- Delete all cookies, close Firefox and reopen new Firefox and sign into Google account.
- remove the Google toolbar.
- remove or disabled any Google-related Firefox extensions, plugins, etc.

After a little more "crash testing" the new "Google-snapshot" from IE-Explorer and Firefox, some finer details needed to cope with the constant "Google-instant performance:
- Firefox Privacy settings must also be configured to "Keep (cookies) until: they terminate."
- IE-Explorer privacy settings must be established for them to allow cookies from Google. Whether general IE settings for privacy must be set low enough to allow cookies from Google, or are too high to automatically accept cookies from Google, a site for special exception must google.com be done with the IE Privacy tab "Sites" button.
I had to get a Firefox add-on to disable the bar to the left of the Google search and now it seems I'll have to look somewhere else to disable Google Instant. I want a technique to permanently disable it without having to access an account or the use of cookies or incredible since I remove them each time Firefox is closed. Is there a "change" I can use?
I cannot help. But I agree. What a very annoying and useless feature. I've been looking for a change in the command line HTTP. Since deleting cookies every time you leave the browser, with "instant" state recorded in the cookie is pretty useless. It seems that you can choose the preferences you want or can be left open to be tracked all the time.
Copy the subsequent code in notepad and save it as "google.htm." Then drag the file to the browser window and release it. Then, a marker for future utilization. This is only intended as a provisional explanation.
