More than 30 system crashed VPCJ12L0E/B USB Bandwidth

We are having 30 + systems and moreover, and we are having huge complaints from our clients where these systems are crashing. We are a software provider and our software utilizes a scanner and a HD webcam. We are in a situation from where we can use a webcam on the system as it will now use 90% of the USB Host controller. If a camera is used, scanner cannot be used now coz whole system will get locked up and all the USB devices get disconnected from the system. There are two USB host controllers through which
    • All the internal usb components Run (bandwidth usage at 4%)
    • The external ports run and reaches maximum with any webcam.

It was not known to me that why the ports were undivided. As it is not issue related to power USB hubs cannot work. Since these systems are installed in high profile places so a solution is needed as they are not up to the mark for the purpose. Logitech camera is any. We already have tried from quick-cam to the C70 Super HD camera. Can anyone help????

I have communicated to Sony and they have stated it’s higher as they are unable to discover a solution yet. Your suggestion about using both the camera
    • They are on different controllers which have allocations to each
    • Disabling this does not make any difference to the faults.

it is stupid to use a webcam which towards the operator. Bluetooth is not that suitable for large amount of data volumes and speed. Other connections are not possible coz Service running on the machines is not goanna search for a fire wire port connected device. Your system was put up against 3 systems by us and your system only failed and now we have fifty three very important locations systems which are resulting in decrease the value of products of yours and ours. I would like to advise to anyone buying a Sony to be careful as this might cause everyone issues. We are having a Sony vaio notebook which is known for the same issue. So something being used by U on all your latest products is failing.

All Intel chipset are now updated to the version ending in 30.System crash will occur just after the three minutes if any USB device is removed or unplugged the system will not be known that it is unplugged and any further operation will be on the plugged USB devices. Only solution – reboot. If you switch the scanner off and on the light shows that there is no connection to the system as the controller has failed.

Thanking you, the information provided by you has been sent to corresponding team which is currently working on your case and they will keep providing me with the latest updates once they are done with their job of investigation. The thing which is remaining unconfirmed is the consequence of installing the Intel chipset driver from Intel website as recommended, I looking forward for your confirmation on this.

The last thing we wanted to be done to is to return these systems but they were not found simply suitable for the purpose – your support team has told us that the issue is a known problem with these systems and despite their best efforts they have not been able to fix the issue. Based upon this we must return them to you to either make them fit for purpose or you must refund us or replace with goods that do work. We first reported this at the beginning of March, within the first 10 days of receiving the goods and we need to discuss the other systems
